Scott has won a science scholarship and his mum is driving him to enrol at a flash new school. He feels a weird mix of excitement and terror. He is not terrified of the new school. Scott is terrified because "with a mum like mine I'm going to be Scott-No-Friends in twenty seconds." Dracula's Revenge is a very funny story about just how embarrassing a parent can be. At a deeper level it is about understanding and accepting differences in personality.
